I activated G-sync on my PC using the Nvidia Control Panel. Since this is my first build, I’m not sure if it automatically changes the V-sync setting in any game. Appreciate your help!

Well g sync (AFAIK) is similar to v sync but it minimizes or eliminates the latency spike by employing techniques like v sync, while still letting you maintain high frame rates. That’s essentially what I understand.

I've turned off v-sync in the 3D settings for Nvidia Control Panel since 2014 when I began using the VG248QE with the Nvidia DIY G-sync mod kit. I suggest doing the same for a better experience.

I've never adjusted the V-sync option after installing G-sync. It seems to be set by default ON. Based on what I know, V-sync doesn't interfere with G-sync within its operational range. It could influence performance if you go beyond your monitor's refresh speed.

In the early days of G-Sync, V-Sync was mandatory. When people complained, Nvidia allowed you to decide whether to enable it. G-Sync only functions within your monitor's compatible range; if your frame rate exceeds that, you miss out on its advantages. Nvidia later introduced Fast Sync, offering much lower input lag compared to V-Sync.
