Cube World
It is scheduled for release by the end of October 2019. On 2019/09/07 the author addressed the Cube World Community, sharing their journey and reasons behind the delays. They explained how the initial launch in 2013 was both exciting and challenging, mentioning the DDoS incident that affected them deeply. The author reflects on past decisions about updates and the impact of perfectionism, ultimately announcing a new version called Cube World 2.0. They are finalizing content for the upcoming release and working on additional lore elements before launch. The post includes links to the official store page and Steam, with information about alpha access.
Brings back memories of Mario 64. The price is in question, and there are limitations with the controller compatibility.
It should cost about $30, though it was six years ago when I purchased it and it was just alpha—prices can change a lot. For partial controller support, I’ll assume it will get full support eventually, but I can’t confirm yet. The game was developed by just him and his wife.
Thanks for the feedback. It seems most people won’t pay the suggested prices. Honestly, it feels like a free-to-play title. I’d only pay a few dollars and would consider giving it a try.
He was really shaken by the DDoS attack. Was his life support connected to that server? Sounds like a weak story. I’m with Intransigent—nobody would pay $30 for it.
That's fine, playing the game myself shows it's quite an enjoyable experience with plenty of features. Now that there are more quests and a lot of new content, I'd be happy to spend another $30. Whatever you think is okay.
Could you explain the source of these figures? I’m happy to discuss your sources with you.
