Are you sure you need the higher frame rate in CS:GO? It probably doesn’t make a big difference. Your CPU and GPU might not be pushing them hard enough because the game isn’t very demanding.

Uncertain about this, but I don’t really mind. It’s not that I sweat in the morning, just because someone plays at 500fps while I’m at 200fps. Enable VSync if it feels jagged.

It's strange, I have an older i5 3570K with a brand new EVGA 970 SSC, but I'm getting 250-300fps. I think updating the drivers would help.

I'm reverting to version 358. It seems Pascal drivers may have affected the 900 cards.
