CS:GO on 16" MacBook Pro

I plan to travel extensively over the next few years and will be purchasing a MacBook Pro 16-inch. Right now, my primary game is CSGO. The specifications are: i9 processor, 8 cores, 2.4 GHz clock speed, 32GB RAM, Radeon 5500M 8GB GDDR6.

It might work, but not at full quality. You’d have to lower the resolution to 1080p to avoid it becoming a slideshow. A special adapter is needed for a regular mouse connection. I’m not sure about the cooling system, but extended gaming would likely be impractical.

consider the cost of a laptop versus performance needs. a mac offers solid value without requiring top-tier graphics. you probably don’t need high frame rates, so a standard setup works well.

I previously played CSGO on a 2015 iMac (the most basic model) with smooth frame rates. Therefore, if you're already using the laptop for other tasks and this is just an extra perk, it's fine. If you're purchasing it specifically for gaming, Windows would be better.

I expect it to reach over 100 frames per second on native display settings. The device will heat up significantly, so I wouldn't be comfortable handling it directly, but it should perform adequately. Edit: I started with CS GO using an i5 8400, RX590, and 16GB RAM, achieving around 95 to 130 fps at 4K resolution.
