Hey there, so I just upgraded my PC and noticed my FPS isn’t improving as expected. My current setup includes an i7 3770, 12GB RAM (the fourth memory slot is not performing well), a GTX 1070. I usually play at 1080p with low settings, high shaders, and no MSAA or FXAA, but I’m only getting about 200 FPS, sometimes dropping below 150. When I switch to higher settings for the major game, I see around 80 FPS. Temperatures are normal, GPU usage is near 60%, CPU around 70%, and nothing seems to be hitting its limit. Online, people report around 300 FPS at lower settings. Got any thoughts?

Do you own a monitor at 240hz? I suspect your memory might not be functioning correctly. A faulty stick or a bent CPU pin could be the issue. Test using only 2x4GB sticks in the active dual-channel slots to determine if performance improves.

I have a 144Hz display, yet when the frame rate drops under 150 FPS, the visuals become jagged. This is the only game where I require that level of performance. Before moving to a 12GB upgrade, I had 8GB with a GTX 770 and maintained similar frame rates at those settings.

Assuming it's a CPU bottleneck makes sense since CS:GO loads heavily on a 4-core/8-thread setup.
