I recently tried CSGO despite having an account locked. PS I managed to lock it myself.

It doesn't matter who secured it. Locking an account means you can't make any changes, and you usually reach out to Valve to fix the problem.

I secured it independently, blocks every entry to the group, or referred to the Account Locking feature
