Hi everyone, I have a friend whose cooler appears to have some problems. I'm not sure if it's a big issue or just a minor concern. The PC temperature stays around 42°C when idle, but there looks like frost crystals forming on the air vent. Should I be worried about this soon?

It seems to resemble moss or mold, neither of which should be present on a computer. I recommend removing it and disinfecting the area. I’m sure it’s not frost—an AIO can’t get cold enough for that.

It seems the plastic is under stress with tiny cracks. The logo sticker might be coming off.

If you don't shape it, it appears as plastic under stress. The entire area on the cooler seems unusual.

Unless your friend keeps their home in below freezing temperatures or their computer in the freezer there is zero chance of those being frost crystals. It looks like an issue with the plastic, like crows feet in clear coat, maybe your friend wiped down the PC with some type of cleaner that's dissolving the plastic? If they can wipe it off it's likely mold or dust. I mean, it's a fair question to ask, does it wipe off? If it was mold, dust, or "frost crystals" it would wipe off. If it doesn't its a problem with the plastic.
