Hi, back when I purchased Crysis 1 it didn’t run smoothly on my old system. Now I have an i7 2600k with a GTX 770 OC, 8GB RAM, and it’s actually running decently—GPU usage is decreasing in most areas, and the CPU is only at 17%. Why is that? Any suggestions to improve performance?

It was designed for Core2Extreme chips—dual-core, high performance needed. You should boost its speed. Your current settings aren’t enough, and it’s unclear exactly what steps to take.

It's clear that those times when older games worked flawlessly on today's systems were rare.

High density of leaves usually makes it very effective against many devices.

I recall the 90s PC scene... I used to play classic Windows XP games and old titles like Sonic R, Jazz Jackrabbit 2, and Odd World: Strangers Wrath HD on a laptop with 650MHz or less.

Playing outdated titles on modern systems before GoG.com was consistently problematic, only basic games with minimal performance issues worked well. Gaming on PCs today requires more setup than it used to.
