I'm experiencing serious issues with Crysis 3. Occasionally, when I'm lucky, the game runs at over 100 FPS and runs smoothly on maximum settings. However, most of the time (about 9 out of 10 times), it freezes to around 64 FPS, dropping to a minimum of 32 FPS or less, without any frames under that level. This seems completely random. This only occurs with Crysis 3 and never happens with other games.

I've tested using a GTX 780 and two GTX 780 in SLI, but the problem persists across all settings. Even when I set everything to low, it still drops from 64 to 32 at random.

Anyone else have encountered this? Do you know how to fix it? All other games I've tried are working fine.

Do you have V-Sync activated? And could you share the remaining details about your specifications?

CPU: intel 4770K 3.5ghz
RAM: corsair vengance 16GB
PSU: Corsair AX 860
Vsync on = 60 drop down to 32
Vsync off = 64 drop down to 32
but sometimes it works smoothly at high smooth framerates without any changes on both one and two cards. don't understand why this is happening =(

Yes, adaptive v-sync is available in the NVIDIA Control Panel.

tried every solution. vsync on, vsync off, and adaptiv vsync on off. vsync isn't the issue—it's something else.

It seems like the issue is likely related to a DirectX 11 call bottleneck. (amount of pylogons and shit) You'll notice in top-tier games that GeForce Experience eliminates call bottlenecks introduced by Direct X11 first.

I've already tried restarting the computer, but it doesn't seem to help. The issue keeps happening consistently. I notice it only affects performance when the game loads, not always. If the game runs at exactly 32fps during the load screen, it's likely not functioning properly, but if it shows around 48fps then it should work smoothly with high framerates and minimal drops.

Regarding the DirectX 11 bottleneck, I'm unsure how to fix it. Do you have any specific steps or settings you're using?
