I know this is a very late reply but I was having the same issue until I tested a couple different things and got my speakers to work again. Under extension blocks press Add, under data blocks press add and I selected both Audio Formats as well as Speaker setup. I also added my desired resolution under the detailed resolutions just to be safe and press OK. Press OK again to exit out of CRU then run Restart64.exe and your monitor speakers should be working. This is at least what worked for me so hopefully this helps.
