I've been looking for an answer over the last few days without success. Windows 10 does offer cross-platform multiplayer, but it doesn't necessarily mean your Xbox One can play EA Origins games on PC and vice versa. Also, optimized graphics settings like 144 fps or 1440p won't automatically match the Xbox One's capabilities—your experience will differ.

It applies to specific titles, according to what I understand—it mainly comes from fable-like stories, though it depends on the developer implementing it.

Only compatible titles support cross-platform play. Fable is the only game currently verified for this feature.

It's quite unusual, isn't it? The idea of cross-platform support raises questions about more than just computer speed—it also involves handling multiple buttons and hotkeys across different devices. I think it could easily spark frustration if it actually worked well for gaming.

It seems the impact would depend on whether the system runs at around 120Hz rather than 60 or 30 BCPU console FPS.

Adjust settings to restrict key usage, ensuring only a limited number of keys are active. For PC gamers, set a cap of 14 keys to control input.

Cross-platform play has occurred before, but it didn't work out well. It seems certain FPS titles aren't suitable for cross-play, as they tend to let players on different systems easily surpass console players by a wide margin.

Seems like a cross-platform approach might not be the best choice overall.

UI design varies among console players—weapon wheels might exist, while keyboard input typically uses numbers 0-9. Controllers frequently combine actions into single buttons, which could map differently on a PC if desired.
