Hello there,
It's been quite some time since I assembled a new PC and haven't kept up with the latest hardware news; I was eager to get any tips or recommendations for the build below. The only challenge I'm facing is deciding between sticking with the 7900XT for around $780 or moving to the 7900XTX at about $950, since I aim for high frame rates at mostly-high settings to fully utilize my UW 1440p display.
Items marked as purchased are things I already own; the only new component is the older G3 PSU, which I had on hand but haven't used.
I plan to use my previous R7 2700 + 1080ti build as a gift for GF, which should be sufficient for her 1080p 144Hz monitor. (Cough* – I'm just trying to justify wants over needs.)

Uncertain about a 4TB SSD from Newegg sellers, would prefer to purchase directly from Newegg or another source. Favorable options include Samsung, WD, Crucial, or Sabrent. My preferred brands (despite my 950 Evo failing after five years) are still in mind. Alternatively, a used 5700X/5600X might work for the other system if the motherboard supports it, offering a significant performance boost without much cost.
Sure, if I locate a GPU under $150 for the old system it would be ideal for her 1080p gaming. The 5700xt would suffice well; the previous 1080ti is being given as a gift to someone dealing with a 1050ti on current games.
It would really boost the performance a lot, but the games she plays are already strong enough; it might be an issue for me in the future.
