Sure, that sounds like a solid plan. With two coax jacks, you could route the signal through your existing setup. The idea of using a MoCA adapter to bridge the gap between your modem and the wall jack makes sense. Just make sure the cable paths are clear and you can trace the connection from the basement ceiling to the gaming PC.

Correct, I understand.

It would be the simplest option if a working cable is already available at that port. Otherwise, I’ll likely opt for the mesh router setup—though it may be slower than direct wiring.

You won't achieve high speeds with a mesh setup. Moca might help, though it has its own constraints. For transferring big video files between your PC and NAS, 10GB is the practical limit. Ubiquiti is my preferred choice for networking. It costs a bit more, but it sets up quickly and functions well. Do you have any extra space like an attic or basement to lay cables?

You can easily send Moca through a splitter. They actually produce Moca splitters. The main point is that using the same coax for internet requires a Moca filter on the main cable from the ISP to your house so your signal stays inside. Another concern is that having many Moca adapters on a network slows down the connection.
