I've been exploring options for capturing gameplay. My setup includes a Ryzen 5 4500U with 8GB RAM, 3200MHz Intel processor, and a 512GB NVMe drive. While the specifications aren't exceptional, I'm curious if I can enable "Affinity" in Task Manager to allocate four cores for the game and leave two for recording software. Recording at 1080P30 is my goal. Does adjusting Affinity via Task Manager actually make a difference? Also, recording through the GPU is clearly not an option. Thanks!
A USB capture card is the top choice. Using any program that runs on the CPU can negatively affect your gaming experience.
