I've been looking up ways to make a VM look authentic, including CPU, BIOS, and other details, so it resembles my actual system. I'm using Manjaro and need a solution that doesn't send my data to Microsoft. My current setup uses Respondus Lockdown Browser for online tests, but I'm concerned it might be tracking webcam and microphone activity—which isn't ideal. I can cancel it for free, but I want to try replicating my environment without personal data exposure. I've already set up BIOS settings on my real PC and fixed an error patch, though the CPU still shows as Intel Core Skylake instead of the expected Core i9-9900K. I'm unsure if VirtIO is involved, so I'm reaching out to KVM experts for advice on safely recreating my main machine.
