Will the non-X 7600 CPU stay cool with the standard cooler?
Why do I require CL30 RAM?
Mobo: what is VRM and why is it important? I just want to keep things simple on my board. Also, the models you mentioned are more expensive than what I picked, so I won’t go there.
PSU: I don’t mind a basic setup; it should work and be quiet. 750 Watts is way too much, let alone 850.
By the way, I chose the Zalman I3 case instead of the N5 because it comes with four fans by default and can accommodate up to seven if needed.

The performance gap between it and the 7600X remains minimal, making the decision based on cost—you can opt for 65W Eco mode on the 7600X. The cooler you've chosen is also quite outdated and lacks competitiveness compared to newer models in the same price bracket.

When finances are limited, consider the Intel i5 12400 and B660 DDR4 configurations. The Intel 15th generation Bartlett lake supports LGA 1700, making these processors likely compatible with your motherboard after updating the BIOS.

I'll opt for the "pedestrian" 7600 CPU. Do you have any information about whether the stock cooler will be enough?
I'll also think about the RAM, thanks for the details. The SSD part is similar; I rarely hit the 25% free space limit.
Mobo: I'll take that into account too, but again, choosing a better CPU as suggested would really stretch the budget, and I don't want to fall into this cycle.
Edit: I just found out more recently that the ASRock B650M-HDV m.2 is actually quite affordable. I'm okay with that, though I'd prefer a Gigabyte CPU since I haven't had any issues with them in over 25 years.
PSU: The models listed aren't available at the store where I'll be building my rig. Would this be a good alternative? Maybe the Seasonic Focus GX 750W PSU (FOCUS-GX-750)?
I could share the store's website, but it's only accessible from here, so I don't think you need to worry about that.
