Hello, welcome to the discussion. I'm reaching out for guidance and encouragement as we aim to grow our Uncorrupted Gamers community. We currently have a small but active group of around 30 members who enjoy playing together in various games. Our goal is to create a more inclusive space where everyone can share their interests and find new groups to connect with. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated to help us expand and attract more participants.

he resides in Scarborough, identifies as a farmer... teasingly I’m from there. the most effective method to grow a group is to showcase yourself through content creation and an online presence.

Attempted to launch the group? Create massive banners in public areas and broadcast ads on television.

I’d prefer to keep the group closed myself... But don’t just interact with members from the group. Bring in others you connect with—those who match your mindset or vibe. Forums aren’t really effective these days for most gaming communities; it’s tough to turn people into active participants. Social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and Twitch are much more successful at this. Finally, managing your own servers is always a solid strategy to draw in players. Clear guidelines, strong admins, and occasional fun events or nights work well.

Choosing a broad selection from the beginning isn't the best approach. For stronger community building, focus on specific game lines or styles. Multiplayer options are more straightforward since you can collaborate together or compete in friendly matches. Singleplayer titles face similar challenges as movies—spoilers deter discussion. I've participated actively in two gaming circles. Both began around a single series, Battlefield. One evolved into a dedicated fan site, while the other started as a semi-active group. The fan site expanded by joining others, such as a CoD hub. The second group shifted focus, inviting friends and family to play games on platforms like TS or Mumble, even setting up their own servers for public matches.

Consider staying focused on your group, launching a Twitch channel, and maintaining a continuous stream with varied hosts. Create your own forums, set up an active Facebook page for the community, engage on Twitter, and build a YouTube presence. Prioritize sharing major and smaller titles to gain visibility, similar to Heavy Gear Assault by MekTek. Post links in multiple places like matches and social media. Think about conducting interviews with game companies, attending events such as GamesCom and E3 to record videos and sell merchandise to support your efforts. Study existing groups like NGNG and observe how successful teams operate, like The Tek. Good luck!
