After Windows 8 launched, I was really craving a clean flat taskbar along with new flat icons and navigation buttons for my Explorer. But the modern UI didn’t appeal to me, which left me feeling stuck. Then I discovered this link: http://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/windo...ike-8.html. I’m genuinely excited and thought I’d share it with you! P.S. I was aware of Rainmeter before this, but it feels too heavy compared to TouchWIZ on Android. This one uses Windows themes, which I really like.

I tried that as well, but after applying an update from Microsoft, the theme would revert to Windows Classic. So I stopped and returned to the original Win7 theme.

Consider setting up just 8. Once you install StartIsBack, you won’t need to revisit ModernUI at all.

It functions similarly to Windows' usual approach, swapping your current window theme and updating certain .dll files responsible for icons and appearances. It might feel like a placebo, but I’m convinced the new animations are smoother now that many of those flashy effects are removed.

Right now I don’t have that money, but I’ll make sure to get it when I can.

I'd concur, as Windows 8 appears more efficient and responsive compared to Windows 7. Even when using an SSD in Windows 7, the Windows 8 system still launches quicker.

Alternatively, you might struggle to understand it properly and take it without permission. Do you believe I paid for W8? No way.
