Set up a new PC with an I5 12600k, RTX 3080, 32GB DDR4 RAM and an 850W power supply. Games started to run smoothly—Battlefield 1, Metro, and Doom Eternal without crashes or weird visuals. I tried Aida64, which didn’t crash, suggesting the CPU might be fine. Then I ran Furmark without issues, indicating the GPU isn’t the problem. Could it be the RAM? I have two other sticks from an old build that worked perfectly. Everything seems to function normally on other software like Google and YouTube.

Unless you have Crucial Ballistix, probably—especially if it's Corsair—Ryzens aren't compatible well. They prefer Crucial. Make sure your RAM matches the CPU and motherboard specifications.

Google suggests removing corrupted display drivers via DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller). The steps are straightforward: disable NVIDIA drivers, enter safe mode, launch DDU, restart, then reinstall the drivers. There are numerous discussions available if you need more details. Disabling Windows Defender isn't seen as a permanent fix, but it can help with immediate troubleshooting. For further guidance, check the provided links on PC Gamer and MakeUseOf.
