Originally, I considered a different case (Meshify 3), but it was too large for my setup (52cm height / 20.47in width / 27cm depth). It fits but offers limited space at the top. The Lian Li Lancool 207 appears ideal for airflow and temperature control.
Specific concerns/questions:
- The cooler might be too loud for this case => searching for quieter options or shorter models
- Adding more fans could reduce RPM and noise – is that accurate? (Planning to use FanControl)
- Intake: 2x 140mm front / 2x 120mm bottom
- Exhaust: 3x 120mm top / 1x 120mm back
- Should intakes run at higher speeds than exhausts for better dust handling?
- The PSU size is 160mm – does this fit with the case?
- Any experience with a 160mm PSU and a Lian Li Lancool 207 setup?
- Also open to suggestions on quieter or more efficient parts, especially if 64GB RAM feels excessive for gaming, but I need room for other apps (I enjoy using Alt+Tab 😄)

You could consider Thermalright or Noctua for additional cooler options.
Your main reason for choosing 8 fans isn't clear without testing, but I'm curious if you prefer them regardless. Or perhaps you're not too concerned about the cost. The gap between 4 and 8 might actually be more noticeable in terms of temperature and sound than you think.

Do you have any recommendations for coolers that operate quietly?
I found these models: Thermalright Burst Assassin 120, Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120, Noctua NH-D15S, Noctua NH-D15 (possibly a larger size), and a few others.
Any good ideas?
The possible reasons for the noise are:
1. more fans = lower RPM = quieter sound | thinking about using FanControl
2. increased airflow = cooler temperatures
Should I aim for fewer fans?

Peerless Assassin and Noctua D15 both carry strong reputations. It’s unclear how quiet the fans of the Assassin community are, but it might be possible to place a more subdued Noctua fan on the Peerless Assassin if needed. Increased numbers of fans generally lead to more noise. The extent to which you notice this depends on factors like your hearing sensitivity, case airflow differences, and your comfort with temperature changes. You’ll need to find a balance between temperature and noise levels. This trade-off is normal and unavoidable. Your own sensitivity and concerns about heat will likely influence your final choice. The Noctua fans tend to be quieter; you won’t perceive the same loudness difference as with 8 units compared to 4. The relationship between fan count, temperature, and noise might not be as strong as you expect. That’s why trying different options is recommended. You can also purchase any number of fans you prefer, though I have no idea how tight your budget is.

I've owned my current PC for roughly 7 to 8 years now, and I'm planning to upgrade it. I want to be generous with the budget.
My goal is to lower the temperatures so the components last longer and avoid premature failure.
I think adjusting the fan count could help.
If I were using Noctua fans on the Peerless Assassin, wouldn't it make sense to opt for the NH-D15S instead?

The information provided is quite concise, so I've adjusted it to maintain the same structure while varying the phrasing slightly. The original text was kept intact as requested.

It looks like you've adjusted several components in your build.
The case choice is mainly influenced by temperature and airflow needs.
The Lancool 207 received positive feedback on these aspects, which helped me decide.
The Dark Pro 5 worked with the Meshify 3 case, but it was too large for my space.
Thanks for the feedback.

Check out the Deepcool coolers. The AK620's height isn't clear. Also, the Noctua NH-D12L is a short dual tower model at 145mm; it's shorter if needed.
