Hey everyone, I hope everything is okay. I’m planning to buy a PC with these specifications: Intel Core i9 11900K, Asus Z590 Tuf Gaming motherboard, Wi-Fi, G-Skill DDR4 RAM at 4000MHZ, 16GB, dual 8GB modules, NZXT Kraken X72 cooling unit, 850W EVGA PSU, 1TB NVMe SSD, and a Zalman K1 case. I also found an RX 6900 XT Red Devil edition GPU. Is this setup strong enough? Will it handle gaming at 2K resolution? And will the Zalman K1 case fit the GPU properly? Thanks in advance!

This setup works well for 1440p (2K) gaming. The Zalman K1 supports a GPU length of 380mm, while the 6900 XT Red Devil fits at 320mm, so compatibility is ensured.

Avoid purchasing an Intel 11th generation right now. A 1TB NVMe drive works fine, though the cost varies. NZXT cooling solutions tend to be expensive.

Are you solely focused on gaming? The CPU might be a bit excessive in that case. Additionally, upgrading to a newer CPU could be beneficial.

I'm not sure about the 11th Gen, and honestly the price seems high at around $900.

Used? Yes, it’s available. The prebuilt version isn’t great by today’s standards, though the price seems reasonable for a new unit. Other components are typically around $850 or more.

Through extensive investigation I discovered these specifications. The build includes an Intel Core i7-13700K, a Gigabyte Z790 UD AC, and a Samsung 980 Pro 1TB with a heatsink and RGB lighting. Additional components are a Corsair AX860i 80Plus power supply, a Platinum RGB Corsair H150i, and a H100 iCUE 4000X. The overall setup is designed for RGB customization. What do you think? Is the investment justified at $2k?

This build meets your expectations. The same DIY approach stays under $2100. Some parts are overpriced but worth it, like the cooler, SSD, and PSU. Buying them at lower costs works just fine. PCPartPicker lists everything you need. CPU: Intel Core i7-13700K 3.4 GHz 16-core ($417.95 on Amazon). Cooler: Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE 75 CFM ($199.99). Motherboard: Gigabyte Z790 UD AC ATX LGA1700 ($194.99). RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB DDR5-5200 CL40 ($149.99). Storage: Samsung 980 Pro with heatsink, 2TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 ($179.99). Video: XFX Speedster MERC 319 Black RX 6900 XT 16GB ($649.99). Case: Corsair iCUE 4000X RGB Mid Tower ($144.99). Power Supply: Corsair AX860i 860W Platinum Certified ($220). Overall cost comes to about $2157.89. Includes shipping, taxes, and any available discounts. Data from PCPartPicker, March 7, 2023, 08:52 EST.
