I’m assembling a new gaming PC for someone who enjoys modern titles such as Assassin’s Creed and Doom (latest releases). Here’s the planned configuration:
Case: be quiet! Pure Base 500 Black
Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming B650-PLUS WIFI
CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Cooling: Arctic Freezer 36
Graphics: Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 9070 XT
Power Supply: Corsair RM850x (2024 model)
Memory: G.Skill Flare X5 F5-6000J3040G32GX2-FX5
Fans: Arctic P14 PWM PST Value Pack, 140mm (5 pieces)
Storage: Samsung 990 Pro with heatsink, 2TB
Estimated total cost: around €2000.
The user doesn’t require an AIO CPU cooler.
Regarding gaming performance at 4K resolution, this setup should handle it well. You might consider reducing RAM from 64GB to 32GB if needed.
I’d be grateful for your guidance on these choices, as component selection is quite complex.
On face value, the build looks fine but I'd look at a beefy air cooler, like something from Thermalright or get a 360mm AIO. Ram looks fine as it's meant for AMD's AM5 platform. I would add a smaller capacity SSD preferably 500GB for the OS, app's and launchers while the larger SSD is meant to be your game library drive. The total cost for this build is around € 2000. Is this a good system for gaming at 4K resolution, or would you recommend any changes? Perhaps 32GB of RAM is sufficient instead of 64GB? Thank you for the response. I'll revise the initial entry. I was also thinking about using Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 5 and Noctua NH-D15S Chromax Black for CPU cooling. The user I'm creating the PC for prefers not to have an AIO.

9800x3d spielt in der 4K nicht so eine Rolle
besonders wenn keine High-End-Grafikkarten wie RTX 4090 oder 5090 genutzt werden
die Unterschiede zwischen modernen CPUs verringern sich mit steigender Auflösung
Die RTX 5070 Ti bietet meiner Meinung nach ein etwas besseres Feature-Set für 4K im Vergleich zur 9070xt
beide sind nicht exakt 4K-Karten, sondern eher hervorragende 1440p-Modelle, doch die 5070Ti verarbeitet höhere Auflösungen etwas besser
daher ist sie für 4K geeignet)
Zusätzliche Speichererweiterung wurde hinzugefügt, da 2x16 GB bereits einschränkend wirken können,
besonders wenn Hintergrundprozesse laufen oder beim Spielen
gibt es günstigere RTX 5070 Ti Modelle, doch Asus Prime läuft leiser als einige günstigere Optionen
und verfügt über eine leise BIOS-Einstellung.

Spending an additional 150 euros with optimized components might yield a better 5080 model.
