first of all, I'm new to the whole PC/ windows computer. I come form a photography background so I've had a Mac since out of High school ( 2008). I just built my first PC. I've got a few issues I'm running into. Here is my build sheet. Intel Core i7-12700KF ASUS ROG Strix Z690-F Gaming WiFi 6E EVGA NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 TEAMGROUP T-Force Delta RGB DDR5 Ram 32GB Kit (2x16GB) 5200MHz (PC5-41600) Noctua NH-D15S chromax.Black EVGA 220-GA-0750-X1 Super Nova 750 Ga, 80 Plus Gold 750W SAMSUNG 980 PRO SSD 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe Gen 4 SAMSUNG 970 EVO Plus SSD 1TB Windows 11 first thing, the screen goes black randomly. no rhyme or reason thing i can find. monitor is connected via HDMI directly out of GPU monitor is a LG 27UD58-B 27" 16:9 4K FreeSync IPS Monitor second thing, my audio skips/ cuts out randomly also. its connected to the motherboard line out 3.5mm to a set of computer speakers. good connection, no loose connections. all my drivers are Up To Date.
After switching to mac, returning becomes difficult. If you have older Macs, a hackintosh might work. It’s becoming necessary nowadays. Windows 11 is the latest, but it seems problematic—most users report issues. Updates are often required for it to function properly. One version only became usable after the third service pack, about a year after launch. I won’t use Windows 11 again for several months; I treat it as still in beta. This might just be a Windows 11 issue. First step is to verify all connections. If everything checks out and remains stable (sometimes unexpected problems arise), we can explore other solutions. Generally, Windows is more complicated than MacOS, and hardware varies widely across manufacturers, leading to reliability problems.
Have you considered exploring alternative approaches? Testing another GPU might help, and adjusting your settings could also make a difference. The persistent flashing black indicates a deeper issue that needs attention.
