Create a Minecraft server using Discord, set up port forwarding, hide your IP address, and let someone handle networking details.

I understand, I don’t really know anything about it. Sorry, I might not be able to assist.

For networking options, consider using No-IP to simplify connections for users via hostnames instead of IP addresses. To conceal your IP address, a VPN is the only reliable method, though its impact on server operations isn't clear. It's safer to share hostnames/IPs only with trusted individuals, unless it's a public server. Regarding your second question, are you setting up a Java server from the ground up? Which operating system will you use?

Looking for a guide or tutorial on configuring a Java server on a Windows 10 64-bit laptop? There are videos available that walk through setting up such a server, especially for Discord. Just make sure to hide your IP address if you prefer privacy.

Running a server on your personal laptop isn't advisable. To conceal your IP address you'd have to subscribe to a service (though I'm not sure what the details are), but keep in mind such requests still send data to your real IP. In that case, renting a server would be a better choice (I suggest Anvilnode). It should also work faster than your laptop and won't strain your internet connection. Talking about speed, how fast is your internet connection? You'll need a reliable and reasonably quick one to manage a server effectively.

Understand basic networking concepts to ensure success. Your laptop should have a PIA setup with a node that allows port forwarding. If not, consider renting a server.
