I use Acronis True Image, but someone here might suggest other options. You’ll need to connect both SSDs to the machine—make sure you have a SATA data cable if it’s a 2.5-inch drive. For M.2 models, just insert them into the corresponding slot.

No issues expected during installation or operation. Copying the OS shouldn’t disrupt background processes.

It can slow your PC because both SSDs are handling reads and writes at once. However, it’s not a major issue—my old machine has a cloned boot SSD, and it’s still functioning properly (thanks to being in IDE mode instead of using the faster AHCI).

You can duplicate it to a less powerful storage as long as the overall size stays under the smaller drive’s limit. For example, with 150GB available, it works well. Macrium Reflect is a solid choice.
