My built PC has been functioning well for about nine to ten months, but lately I've experienced some glitches and slowdowns. Now it's crashing frequently and performing poorly. I checked the hardware and monitor, ensuring temperatures and usage were normal. It started booting up with BIOS and Windows warning about errors, but the auto-repair didn't help—it only crashes when I open programs. I can still access Windows, but it freezes if I try anything else. My Valorant isn’t downloading updates, which makes me think a kernel-level issue might be involved. RAM seems fine, and I don’t recall any recent changes. I suspect the problem could be related to a GPU driver or something at the OS level. I removed an old HDD that had stopped booting, but a different one was present before. I downloaded music online, wondering if a virus is the cause. I resolved it then it began crashing again about a week later. I attempted to update the GPU drivers and it reported a corrupted cabinet file. Then I tried updating the BIOS, which caused a normal issue—peripherals stopped working but lights stayed on and the power button didn’t function properly. So I turned off the power supply and now it won’t boot at all, though the RAM RGB lights are active while the CPU, AIO fans, and case fans remain silent.
