I wanted to purchase this item -
https://www.amazon.in/x/dp/B0BGFJSYGF/
- however my server friend advised against it because:
the laptop's CPU performance is weak, so I should opt for a model with an H in the CPU name like i5-11300H
my requirements are:
running websites with Docker - all development environments are now using Docker as well - so heavy Docker usage will be necessary
very low graphics capabilities - I won't need to use programs such as GIMP etc
LAMP, Django, NodeJS, Go, Rust etc.
Visual Studio Code, PhPStorm and PyCharm

G indicates the processor includes an integrated GPU capable of managing basic GPU tasks smoothly. These units tend to be less powerful but can complete your work. H signifies top performance, meaning they have more CPU power for general tasks and require a separate GPU for GPU-related work. This shouldn't be a big concern since the bottleneck for the CPU will likely come from thermal design and TDP limits. A CPU with 35 watts TDP that is reduced to 25 watts due to a better cooler may still run slower even if it has the H designation. The correct ranking should be 11300 versus 11800, where 3 represents low TDP and 8 indicates high TDP, with a maximum of 9.

there is a 12500h cpu available at a comparable price that offers double the speed in cinebench compared to the one mentioned earlier

Thank you for your feedback - I am focusing on finding an Ubuntu-based solution for native Linux usage.

I'm considering whether it's equivalent to using a Windows laptop with WSL enabled.
