I recently switched from a Ryzen 3 2200G to a Ryzen 5 2600X. I'm attempting to sell my Ryzen 3 chip but I'm unsure of its weight, which affects the shipping costs in France. Any advice would be really helpful. Thanks, Louis.

Amazon lists the package as 500 grams, but you can weigh the CPU alone on a kitchen scale if you have access to one. For shipping, make sure the pins are securely covered.

Estimate around 200 grams. The cooler should weigh over 300 grams, and the cardboard is a few grams. You could also take the item to a store and weigh it like an orange for an accurate reading.

When sold separately, it should weigh under a pound, around 500 grams. The CPU itself isn't that heavy—about 100 grams—but most delivery services treat it like one pound regardless. If it comes with a heatsink, the heatsink adds roughly 200 grams, keeping the total under 500 grams if you pay per weight. Including packaging, 150 grams is acceptable, but 600 grams is a safe estimate when shipping. If your package exceeds that, most companies charge the full pound, meaning you might end up paying two pounds or 1000 grams depending on their policy.

You'll place it in the plastic case it comes with, plus the small cardboard box that higher-end Ryzen CPUs are sold in. It should weigh under 100 grams inside a padded envelope.

Confirming the figure, it should be around 150, though the price might vary depending on the amount—under 500 grams, maybe you settle for 500 grams and don’t stress too much about the precise amount

It's odd that someone would purchase a 2200g item from another country. Was it listed at no cost? A second-hand 2200g usually costs about 50€, making shipping fairly expensive relative to the product's worth. I used to check weights for bike components in department stores, where you could weigh produce before buying. However, when selling items, I often undervalue them significantly. I received a package around 200-300 grams with a declared weight of 3kg. The courier charges the same rate for 3000 grams and less, which seems unfair. I tend to use the highest possible weight that fits the lowest category. It should not exceed roughly 666 grams, even when adding extra packaging or a cooler.
