I was trying to increase the clock speed of my i5 4690k for the first time. I changed the voltage from about 1.08 to 1.2. Fans, LEDs, and other components activated, but the monitor, keyboard, and mouse remained unresponsive.

PC Specifications
CPU: i5 4690k
Motherboard: Gigabyte z97mx Gaming 5
Memory: G.Skills Ripjawz X series 2x8GB
GPU: MSI GTX 960 4GB
Power Supply: Cosair CX 500W 80+ Bronze

Steps I attempted to fix:
- Resetting CMOS using the pins as specified in the motherboard manual
- Booting the PC with built-in graphics
- Disconnecting all unnecessary cables and USB devices
- Reviewing numerous similar posts to find possible solutions

Disconnect the PC from the power source and remove the battery from the Mobo. Leave it out for approximately one minute to reset the BIOS to its original settings. Your CPU features an unlocked multiplier, allowing you to adjust the value to OC easily. Avoid altering voltage levels or other parameters unless you are experienced. If OC fails, the PC may crash or fail to boot, though there is a small risk of damaging components.
