CPU Voltage Concern
CPU Voltage Concern
Hello
I'm just starting out with overclocking and recently pushed my i5 6600K to 4.4GHz at a voltage of 1.325V. During a stability test in AIDA64, the core voltage rose from 1.325 to 1.360. I'm curious if that was normal or if it posed any issues. Also, can I try using a lower voltage, or is this setting acceptable? Lastly, how is the CPU temperature looking after this overclock?

The voltage is okay. The CPU can operate at up to 1.4 vcore continuously without issues. I think you could reduce it even more and still have stable performance. Some models handle 4.4 with stock voltages, while mine runs at 1.27 vcore @4.4. Currently, your temperatures are good, staying below 70°C as a safe margin, though the maximum temperature before throttling reaches around 95°C.
