… it’s close to hitting a CPU limitation, though it doesn’t look like that yet… but it might still work. However, I have no interest in this title, yet I played it because many people complained – I didn’t run into any major problems. The graphics card isn’t fully utilizing its capacity, averaging around 80% usage, and the frame rate was about 180fps, though it wasn’t consistent. I decided to cap the frame rate at 120fps for stability, which gave me a steady 118–120fps. It’s unlikely you’d achieve smooth 120fps+ on your GPU, especially if it’s weaker. As mentioned, my experience suggests G-Sync isn’t reliable here, so expect some inconsistency. My advice is to lower the settings or enable DLSS and keep the frame rate stable—maybe around 100–110fps if you’re lucky. Your monitor should handle that. Personally, I think it’s best to accept an unstable performance unless your GPU is stronger. What did you actually do?

I'm used to the changes, actually the variations tend to come from different settings. It doesn't seem as intense anymore because it never drops below 90%. However, my GPU is only 970, so upgrading should give me better performance.

Absolutely, the CPU plays a key role here. Yes, you'd still see some variations unless you stabilize the frame rate. I experimented extensively—4K resolution, ray tracing, DLSS… all the options tried. There were some quirks, but overall it worked well and matched expectations. These parameters are quite unique; I also noticed smoother performance with more detailed textures and ray tracing. It’s strange, but possibly the workload shifted from CPU to GPU, which could have helped. Still, many people find these settings overwhelming due to the sheer number of choices, and low settings don’t always mean best performance (which goes against common sense).

All is well since I maintain consistent performance regardless of settings. It remains unchanged.

Check how your processor behaves during gameplay. High temps can affect performance and longevity.

When adjusting graphical settings doesn't affect performance, the problem likely lies with the GPU feed. This is often related to the CPU. It might be worth upgrading to a 1440p 144Hz display.
