Hi there, new member. My PC has been working smoothly for three months until one day I powered it on and noticed performance problems before logging in. At first, I brushed it off, but the slight lag persisted after logging in. In Task Manager, I saw my CPU usage constantly jumping between 5% and 80%, even when no programs were running. I’ve got a Corsair Vengeance 64GB RAM system with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D and 5090, so I’m confident it can handle the workload. I’ve tried everything—cleaned the PC, reinstalled Windows, updated BIOS, reinstalled CPU and GPU drivers. Still nothing. I’m starting to suspect a bug in the Gigabyte motherboards. Currently, I’m using the Gigabyte X870E ARIUS Elite WiFi 7. When checking Task Manager by CPU usage, it’s not just one program causing the spike—it rotates every second among several apps like Task Manager, Antimalware Service, PowerShell, ICUE, and Google Chrome. To give more detail, when CPU usage is high, my temperatures remain stable at around 40°C. This suggests the CPU itself isn’t the problem. My disk and memory usage are normal. Also, moving my mouse vigorously usually causes CPU spikes to 40-90%, but with the mouse idle, it stays between 5-60%. If I play games like Marvel Rivals, CPU usage jumps to consistently 95% or higher, leading to noticeable FPS drops. Have anyone experienced similar issues? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
