Hello, I'm facing an odd issue. I recently upgraded my system with a new graphics card (MSI RTX 3070 Gaming X Trio, 8GB). My CPU stays at 99% usage while the GPU runs between 50-60%. The strange thing is FPS remains constant whether I play high or low settings, even though my CPU clock is around 4.6GHz. Any tips would be appreciated! Here are my specs: CPU - Intel Core i5-9600K, GPU - MSI RTX 3070 GAMING X TRIO 8GB, RAM - 32GB, Monitor - Asus VG248 TN 24", 144Hz, 1080p, Power Supply - Corsair RM750x, Case - Phateks 400s Red/Black, Motherboard - ATX MSI MPG Z390, Cooler - Kraken X62.

Higher resolution and stronger CPU are the only options left. This creates a significant CPU limitation. Reducing settings merely provides the CPU with more frames it can handle. If possible, I’d prefer to play at 1440p scaled down to 1080p.

Downscaling at 1440p would lower the frame rate. Increasing from a lower resolution would likely worsen the issue. (He uses a 1080p 144Hz display.)

choose to go with it, boost the CPU speed, or swap it for a 9900k (previously sold for $200 in microcenter)
