I recently bought an i7 processor from eBay and wanted to verify it wasn<|pad|>, not overclocked or having issues. I ran cpu-z to confirm the model, performed a quick Intel diagnostic test, and checked other software for any errors or problems.

Check if it's running at normal speed, you can't change the CPU's clock directly. Overclocking isn't possible through the CPU itself—only via software or BIOS settings. If you're in a system, manual adjustments are required. You can still run Cinebench R32 for a performance test.

This software claims to have been overclocked whenever possible, since overclocking tends to shorten its lifespan.

This doesn't exist, there's no way to know what the CPU did

That software isn't there, and it doesn't exist. CPUs follow instructions without keeping records. Also, CPUs last a lot longer than most parts in a PC. Cutting their lifespan by 10% isn't a big issue. If you can run stress tests without problems, the chances of it failing early are extremely low.
