Hello. My latest build is complete. Essentially, I’m still unsure if my NH-D15 fits correctly on my AMD 5900X. I’m using MSI Afterburner/Rivatuner to monitor CPU temperatures while gaming. I’ve been playing GTA V and Dying Light: Enhanced Edition at 1080P with high settings, and my temps sit between 50-62°C. That seems acceptable? Could they be much higher? If everything looks fine, I probably won’t bother with reseating or repasting the cooler anytime soon.

It should be around this point within roughly five degrees Celsius. Without special methods—such as using chilled water—you won’t reach those lower temperatures. With only air cooling, it’s not feasible to hit those gaming benchmarks.

Temperatures are perfectly fine. The NH-D15 is an older cooler and isn't the top air cooler anymore, even though its price implies otherwise. You can usually lower the temperature by 3 to 5 degrees with the Peerless Assassin, but that model is very popular, so many people who watched GN's video and tried air cooling on small 120/240mm AIOs ended up buying one of those.
