I'm using a Ryzen 7 5700X with a 67xt ID cooler on a matx build. The system feels compact, so idle temperatures of 45-55°C seem reasonable. It takes some time to cool down fully. The case I have is a Jonsbo C6 with two 140mm fans at the top and bottom, plus a 120mm exhaust on the front. I've experimented with swapping the exhaust for the intake and vice versa, but the temperatures are still higher in that setup.

Absolutely, each new CPU is similar in design.

Same CPU model, no surprises. Any temperature jumps are likely because cores are handling light tasks.
