Hello everyone, I'm working on assembling a new build and encountered some problems. Notably, my CPU stays at 88°C. In BIOS it shows and maintains that number, accompanied by an overheating alert. After installing and launching Windows, I installed Core Temp to obtain more precise temperature readings per core. During idle mode with only the Task Manager and Core Temp open, I noticed fluctuations between 45-100°C without any user input. The case has good airflow: two 140mm fans on the front, two 120mm fans mounted sideways as intake, and a 140mm fan at the bottom for exhaust. I used an infrared thermometer to check internal temperatures; ambient was 22°C, GPU at 41°C, the MOBO behind the socket stayed under 45°C, and the CPU around 40°C. I plan to systematically fix things by re-seating the pump, adjusting the radiator orientation, reapplying thermal paste, and examining the MOBO pins. I purchased the MOBO/CPU from FB Marketplace after the seller couldn't get the system to boot (they thought incorrect RAM was the issue, showing an orange diagnostic light). Any suggestions to help identify where I went wrong would be greatly appreciated.

Specs: Intel Core i5 14600K, MSI MAG CORELIQUID 240R V2, Asus ROG STRIX B760-I, Gaming WiFi Mini ITX LGA1700, TeamGROUP 16GB (2x8GB) DDR5-4800 CL40, Patriot Burst Elite 120GB 2.5", Asus Turbo EVO 8GB SSD, Asus ROG Z11 Mini ITX Tower Case.

These MSI AIOS models are often reported to malfunction frequently and have been recalled. They tend to get clogged easily. Reach out to them using the provided link: https://www.msi.com/Landing/liquid-coole...pplication

I contacted MSI and learned they don't offer that service in the United States.

Really, I'm both surprised and worried these AIOs keep breaking for users.

They were part of a huge selection of unfinished items and they cost a lot less than expected.
