CPU spikes during gameplay in full screen, stable in limited windowed view
You're experiencing unusual gaming performance with your Dell 7567. The CPU usage spikes significantly in full screen, especially for games like Doom and No Man's Sky, while it behaves normally in windowed mode. I've checked the Vulkan and OpenGL implementations, but the high CPU consumption persists. The attached screenshots of the game overlays might help clarify what's happening. If you can describe the exact behavior or any error messages, it would be useful.
Check the driver and reinstall GeForce experience and drivers. Try it again.
I've just moved into a new apartment and finally regained internet access. The answer is yes—clock speeds and overall performance of both the CPU and GPU decrease in fullscreen mode (and windowed borderless mode) compared to windowed mode, as shown by MSI Afterburner.
