I have a 3070 paired with an AMD 5600x that’s been auto-OC’d to 4.5ghz. I’m running at 1440p medium and low, with DLSS enabled for better performance. During gameplay, the CPU usage can jump to 99% for just a brief moment, while the GPU stays around 80-90%. FPS drops to as low as 30 before recovering to 60. It’s quite annoying and disrupts the experience. The CPU temperature stays under 75°C with a Noctua cooler. Are you considering a CPU upgrade, or is the game not optimized well? Do any of you face similar issues? What steps did you take to resolve it?
World remained unchanged... Mostly inefficient for typical processors... Community had to fix it a lot. Still, I don’t notice this pattern—CPU usage sits around 5-20%, no sudden jumps. GPU stays near 90-95%, never hitting 100%. Maybe there’s something unusual going on.
On Nexus they mention the multi-core performance isn't optimal, but I haven't verified that since my 5800x3d shows no major problems; however, the low utilization (~20% max) suggests subpar multi-core usage at least... There are several methods on Nexus to improve this, just search for 'performance mods'... (there are quite a few different options I can see) *Note: I recently found it's around 20-40%, but yesterday it was much lower (around 20% max) depending on the area. Also, I believe Wilds contrasts with World... The focus is on "streaming assets" (we seem to be going back to that basic idea) rather than trying to load everything into VRAM before entering an area. This approach works well even on engines known for lacking open-world capabilities. Regarding multicore usage, it appears standard. Overall, the performance remains solid, similar to World, with FSR; the main concern seems to be DLSS issues, possibly due to player preference or technical quirks.
Capcom has become more restrictive regarding mods, especially cosmetic ones, and some players have faced bans. The situation remains active. For performance enhancements, consider popular mods like "Rage" or "Boost," which are well-regarded in the community.
