CPU speed capped once more after BIOS adjustments and overclocking attempts
I decided to push my RAM further and had to change the CMOS battery several times after unsuccessful overclock attempts. Once I settled on a stable RAM and an infinite memory setup, I noticed my CPU usage cap dropped from 4200 GHz to 3900 GHz. I removed the CMOS battery again, reset the BIOS, and even tried without overclocking, but nothing changed. My GPU is turned off, and only the driver files remain. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
It has been a while since I adjusted the bios options, but I think there’s a toggle for turning on turbo boost that might be off.
This setting provides the best performance enhancement available in my bios, and it works when auto is enabled. No other configuration options exist besides Auto and disabled.
Confirm using tools like CPU-Z for accurate CPU clock information. Review power settings in both Windows and BIOS to ensure they are set to high performance mode.
