No, you cannot substitute a socket 1156 for a 1150 CPU. They are different socket types designed for different processor models and architectures.

You can pair an LGA 1150 CPU with an LGA 1150 motherboard, but not with a 1150 socket. Updated July 1, 2020 by TofuHaroto
