I recently purchased an RTX 5070 Ti on Facebook marketplace in brand new condition for 850 CAD, with a current CPU of a 5700X. I'm considering an upgrade to AM5 and would appreciate any suitable CPU suggestions. I already have the motherboard and RAM installed: motherboard is Gigabyte X870 and RAM is T-Create 6000mhz Cl30.

If your setup is intended for gaming, then a 9800X3D would be the optimal processor for this task. What is the goal of your build or upgrade? What is your budget and where do you plan to buy?
Moved thread from Graphics Cards section to CPUs section.

3D modeling, work and gaming on 1440P at 144 Hz. Improvements made because my 3060 isn't suited for the current demands

I changed from an RTX 3060 to a 4070 last Black Friday. This should save about an hour or two on long 4K video conversions. I'm using a 7950X, but if your 3D programs use 16 cores and you're a gamer, the 9950X3D might be better. Gives you work cores and game cache.
