For best results, link both components together; otherwise the setup will work just fine without a 4-pin connection.

You only need to increase the clock speed if you want ln2 over clock performance. A single 8-pin EPS can deliver up to 250 or 235 MHz. The note was edited on June 3, 2020 by TofuHaroto.

It actually offers a 384W output, which means you didn’t need the additional 4-pin connector for regular use or overclocking.
