I own a 7th generation i7 processor paired with Intel HD graphics 620. During gaming sessions, the CPU slows from 3.0 GHz to just 0.4Ghz and the frame rate drops to 10 FPS. Here are the specifications: I7 7TH GEN 7600U base speed 2.8GHz, Intel HD graphics 620, 16GB RAM. Please assist me.

Besides cleaning your laptop and possibly swapping out the thermal compound and pads, there aren't many options available. Some users attempt to use laptop coolers, though I don't prefer that approach. One example is the HV-F2056 15.6"-17" Laptop Cooler Cooling Pad - Slim Portable USB Powered (3 Fans), Black/Blue.

Track the CPU temperature during gameplay and provide an update, I think it's heating up a lot.

Sure, give me a moment. Usually it's warm but I'll send the readings once you're ready.

Begin by keeping the graphics settings minimal. This helps maintain a higher FPS while allowing your CPU to utilize its integrated GPU effectively. When testing on low settings, check if the games listed are delivering similar average FPS. If they are, you're on the right track. If problems persist even at low settings, we'll address them further.
