So I've been pushing MY I7-920 for almost six months now, and everything was performing well. I noticed a boost in FPS, with benchmarks reaching over 150 on Cinebench. But suddenly, my scores dropped back to what they were before—stock performance. I ran the benchmarks again and got a +2 on Cinebench. The BIOS stayed at 3.4GHz, and CPU temps remained around 78°C during full load. It’s not that bad, just not ideal. I cleaned out my PC today, wondering if it might be affecting things, but I’m still seeing the same results. I’m not sure if the CPU is failing because it’s old and used a lot, but if anyone has any ideas would be really helpful. Thanks for your time.

Download and execute OpenHardwareMonitor in the background. Choose to view log results. Visit the download page for details. Perform your benchmarks. Check if your bus or CPU is slowing down during tests.
