Generally my computer heats up a lot during gameplay. It makes quite a lot of sound and gets very warm when you touch it, especially near the top. This issue started when the machine was built last August. I didn’t pay much attention until now. Normally when idle, the CPU stays around 37-45°C (98.6-113°F). However, gaming causes it to rise significantly. I ran a stress test using AIDA64 and tested both CPU and GPU together. I was surprised when my CPU hit 93°C (199.4°F) after about 15 minutes. Anyone know why this happens? I’ve cleaned the system for two weeks, so dust probably isn’t the problem. Current temps: CPU max 93°C (199.4°F), GPU max 84°C (183.2°F). My specs are: CPU – AMD Ryzen 5 2600, cooler – stock AMD Wraith Stealth, GPU – Gigabyte Aorus RX 580 8GB, power supply – EVGA 500W white, motherboard – ASUS Prime B450M-A, RAM – Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3000MHz, SSD – Crucial MX-500 1TB, case – Sharkoon VG5-w (blue), fans – two front and one back exhaust.

You're asking about what "it gets hot while gaming" really means. It usually refers to increased temperatures during intensive tasks like running Prime95. The 70°C reading is more about typical heat levels than actual CPU stress. Prime95 puts extra load, so you can expect higher temps than normal. Have you checked your cooler setup and thermal paste?

The thermal paste is located on the cooler since it's the original one from AMD.

The highest temperature I've noticed while gaming is around 94°C, though it typically stays between 80 and 90°C. Even when temperatures don't drop during gameplay, they continue to rise. The cooler needs to be used properly, as shown in the picture you mentioned.

Do you possess the cooler in place properly? Are you using the most recent BIOS updates? Which voltage are you applying?

When it was installed, we managed to remove the motherboard without the cooler detaching. I’m not entirely sure, but I did make an update earlier, though it was a long time ago. The voltage readings from HWMONITOR are as follows:
