I recently attempted to push my PC to its limits to check its performance, but I received 2.99 GHz on startup while it was running at 4.10 GHz. During idle I got 4.10 GHz and 60°C, but under load it dropped to 2.99 GHz and 42°C. I used AIDA64 stress testing. What steps can I take to avoid this? I have a high-performance power plan, yet no success.
Here’s a revised version:
Are you sure you have the most recent bios? Which program were you using to track temperatures?
I'm testing the stock cooler with Core Temp and AIDA64 to verify their readings. I didn't increase my CPU's clock speed. The latest BIOS is already installed.
It seems like you're showing a rough idea of your power settings.
Looks like you might be adjusting performance controls.
