CPU OC from BIOS crashes, yet Ryzen Master doesn't? Please assist.
i have a ryzen 7 2700 with stock cooler connected to a b450 aorus pro wifi. i've tried using a cpu oc in ryzen master at 3.8ghz with 1.2v and it worked fine. but when i set the value in my bios, i can't boot. i have to increase the voltage to 1.35v to load windows and run a cinebench r20 test successfully. though this voltage is high for 3.8, i'm unsure why i can't achieve it with my bios but with ryzen master at such low voltages. my os, bios, and drivers are all up to date.
Some individuals claim they are current but are not. I need to know the BIOS versions for your motherboard and the Windows 10 version. When using Ryzen Master, which tool were you using to track voltages during the operating system?
bios version is f50
window 10 64-bit version 1909 (os build 18363.476)
regarding the voltage, i use hwinfo and cpuid; both confirm the voltage never exceeds 1v. however, when i open from ryzen master, it displays voltages higher than 1v as i set it to 1.175
