cpu, motherboard temps that are dangerous?
CPU temperature is normal at 42°C, motherboard stays cool at 27°C. Gaming can push temps higher—watch for signs of overheating to protect longevity.
It's a little warm if idle. It in theory will function up to 95 degrees, but it depends if you're talking about the air temperature or the CPU's reported temperature, which is where it will throttle if it gets too hot and shutdown if it gets too hot and can't throttle enough to cooldown. There is a Ryzen Master tool that will tell you what it's measuring. Danger is relative to the cooling. If you have an aftermarket cooler that is bigger than necessary it will cool better than an under-sized aftermarket cooler designed for lower TDP CPU. That's why liquid coolers end up transferring the danger from the temperature to the chance of liquid escaping. Things like ambient temperature will affect the risk to the system.
Throttle at 90°C. 3000-series reaches 95°C. High temperature warning triggers at 70°C, when the fan spins fastest. Operationally safe, stays below 90°C.
