In my BIOS I see -55°C, so the AIO isn't powering on and it’s keeping my CPU from heating up. That’s also a relief. I’ve tried changing the thermal paste—it helps for a few hours. Updated the BIOS, installed a new cooler and air, but the CPU keeps showing -55°C in Windows 10/11. RAM is being swapped, but still nothing. It’s really frustrating.

55c operates without overheating, which is typical in BIOS as it functions at full capacity within the BIOS environment. If it did overheat, temperatures would likely show readings from the 80s and 90s.

CPUs often run at higher voltages in BIOS compared to Windows, so elevated BIOS temperatures aren’t uncommon. Your system shutting down might stem from something else. The AIO could still work, and identifying the exact model would help if it tends to develop sludge-like fluid. If the CPU were dead, you’d expect a gradual rise in temperature—around 1-2°C every 10 seconds—in BIOS, not a static reading. This suggests another underlying problem.

It could be that the temperature controller is faulty. If it consistently displays 55°C, you should consider initiating a return or running the AIO at full capacity continuously.

It shows -55°C in BIOS but HWmonitor displays normal readings. Plugging my AIO into a fan header on my PC works fine, so the issue seems to be with the hardware. I’m concerned something is wrong and might need to return the board. Thanks!

No action is being taken, it occurs immediately after the PC powers on. It might be best to follow the advice given and proceed with a return of the item.
